Alex Kamil is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Etsy, working on recommendation modules, and leads an effort that works on infrastructure and the quality of recommendations. Previously, Alex worked as macro trading engineer at Balyasny Asset Management, building software for real time portfolio analytics and options pricing. Before that, he worked at Guggenheim Partners as quant/developer, and as a software engineer at FXall/Reuters, a high frequency trading exchange. He received a BA in Computer Science from Columbia.

Alex will be speaking during Lecture 11 / Week 14 - CS6220, during the class, which will be in Room 301. He will be virtual.
