Cheating You may not collaborate with anyone on any of the two exams. You may not use any electronic tools, including phones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, etc.

Once assigned, you must collaborate with your partner on the weekly homeworks. You may request help from any staff member on weekly problem sets but you must do so together with your partner. If you discuss the homework with other students, this discussion should be purely theoretical and at no point should you show your code to any student other than your assigned partner, or view code written by any student other than your assigned partner.

In addition, it is considered a violation of academic integrity to submit work that you have not contributed to. This means that if you ask your partner to do the homework one week, and then you do the homework the next week, you are cheating. This hurts you in the long run because you don’t have the knowledge from the week(s) when you didn’t help with the homework. Since the exams are not collaborative, you will need to know all the material.

Students caught cheating will be reported to the university’s office on academic integrity and punished by the course staff.
