Logging In

To log into the lab machine you need to use "nunet\[user name]". So, if your user name provided by the University is smith.j, then you should log in with nunet\smith.j. The nunet domain is necessary as the lab machines in CCIS use the domain ccis by default unlike University computers which use the nunet domain as default. <

Speeding Up Login

To speed up login, sit at the same computer every time.

Using Files Outside the Lab

Any files saved to the desktop of the Documents folder on the lab machines is NOT available outside of the lab. To have your files available outside, copy them to myFiles or Dropbox. Alternatively, you can also email the files to yourself or copy them onto a USB drive.

Storing Files on myFiles

The myFiles service is available to all Northeastern students. It is essentially an online disk drive similar to Dropbox. You can access your files from anywhere through a browser by visiting myFiles.neu.edu.

Submitting Assignments via Blackboard

All assignments must be submitted via Blackboard; no email or other submissions will be accepted. Be sure to save your work and close Excel or Access before submitting.
